Banquet Chef
The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center at the University of Texas in Austin is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to join their pre-opening team. The four-star facility offers 297 rooms, over 40,000 square feet of meeting and conference space, two full-service restaurants and one conferee dining room. We also offer in-room dining and a poolside grill.
As Banquet Chef at the Conference Center, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the pre-opening activities of the facility. You will be part of a dynamic, passionate team dedicated to delivering superb cuisine and Platinum Service.
Recipe to Succeed:
- Coordinate, plan and supervise the production, plating and presentation of the food at all banquet events in a cost effective, safe manner to meet/exceed customer expectations and attract future business.
- Responsible for the daily production of all banquet food.
- Assists in the creation and recommends menu changes.
- Recommends and implements procedural/production changes.
- Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
- Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, customers, client, and associates
- Assimilate into The AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center, the Family PLATINUM SERVICE culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of PLATINUM SERVICE. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
- Mandatory adherence to the Platinum Service process on a daily basis, to include Platinum Service Standards, Guest Elements of Customer Service and the “To Be” Philosophy.
Necessary Ingredients:
- A.A. Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- Two (2) to three (3) years of culinary supervision position
- Good knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- ServSafe® certified is a plus
