As the official communications partner of the center, AT&T has deployed the latest technology to enrich the communications and learning experience for continuing education students and guests and to connect the worlds of academia and commerce.
CONFERENCE FACILITY
- Wireless connections to The University of Texas IT network, for accessing academic resources and experts
- Ultraclear, flat-panel LCD message boards to direct conferees to meeting spaces
- Mobile audio/visual capability to serve clients' presentation needs
- Both wired and wireless Internet connectivity via a high-speed connection in all meeting rooms
In amphitheatre (300-capacity)
- 12-panel wall of audio/visual screens for multimedia presentations with screen segmentation, picture-in-picture and other video features in clear digital formats
- stage with plug-in capability for panels, shows
- speaker confidence panel for speaker to see screens without turning around, plug in laptop, and make conference calls with video capability for an outside resource to address the audience
- speaker connectivity panel accommodates different types of electronics
In all tiered, fixed classrooms (90-capacity (3) and 65-capacity (4))
- Desktop data ports for Ethernet connection
- Power connection wired at many seating locations
Note: The AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center at UT Austin is likely the only academic-based center with this connectivity onsite (within the conference center property); no other university-based center can offer as many as seven individual classrooms with this wiring
In all classrooms
- Rear or frontal liquid-crystal display (LCD) projection
- Smart lecterns to control presentation, climate and lighting
- Sound systems allow for amplified audio
FACILITY-WIDE FEATURES
- Wireless access throughout the facility (including all meeting spaces)
- Sufficient bandwidth for videoconferencing, to support clients' Webcasting technology, and for all participants to have simultaneous, uninterrupted connection.
- Four large information screens to display daily activities and a building directory
- Live AT&T U-verse television viewing on a 100" screen, additional TVs and computers for guest use in the AT&T Experiential Room
GUEST ROOMS
- Flat-panel, HDTV LCD screens offer AT&T’s U-verse TV programming including several HBO channels
- High-speed, wired Internet connection in addition to wireless
- Fully digital, Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephones with screen display that provides Internet content over the phone (weather, stock report)
